Marble Top
What type of mortar and grout should be used for a kitchen countertop marble tile?
We will install a marble countertop, tiles in our kitchen. The tiles are 12×12. We already have a wet saw, lots of marble tiles and know the measurements but not sure what type of mortar to hold the tile or grout to use. We know that the marble will also need to be sealed when it does, and also could use some suggestions for sealants. We realize the advantages and disadvantages of using marble in the kitchen, but have about 116 pictures of the same given to us and now is on our desk great need to replace it is very old laminate that is cracking off. Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.
I put a lot of tiles and I would suggest instead of mortar, use a "tile adhesive, tile sticks down better and dries faster, it also works better that when mortar is used near water. As for the grout, use a "unsanded" grout
